That is Not Correct

Since Day 1 we watched Pinoy Big Brother with much gusto. We as a family are very much hooked in watching the daily happenings. Having away from the Philippines for so long, we found watching TFC and specifically Big brother as something that connect us to our born country.

But then, the episode where Big Brother asked the housemates to cut/destroy Uma's pants made us feel negative about the show. Even though it was only a task that meant to test one's allegiance/faith to someone, it was not still correct to destroy something. Our Filipino value dictates that we should respect other people's property. If the people behind this show felt that it was a cool test/measure for the housemates to know how much they trust Big Brother, we felt differently. Big Brother is NOT GOD.

We are happy that the housemates showed the values they learnt from their parents. We are glad that there is still hope for the Philippines. The youth of today have no blind allegiance. They are vocal in stating their disagreement on something that is not correct. Though last night, the episode showed that the housemates said SORRY, still we felt that it was done only for the show. We felt that deep in their hearts, the Big Four were still holding on the correctness of their decision to disobey Big Brother.

We are proud of the Filipino youth.

Eddie Guerrero of WWE

Nap says:

Watching The World Wrestling Entertainment or WWE on TV is enjoyable. Though we know that the players are just doing tricks and of course the actions are just plain gimmicks, still you got entertained by their antics. But watching them live is of course more entertaining.

One of our favourites in Wrestling is Eddie Guerrero. But then when I visited WWE website, I read about his passing away. Like the rest who are entertained by him, my family is also saddened by his death.

Jenny eliminated from PBB

We did not expect Jenny to be eliminated tonight. We thought it would be Say as Sam needs a partner to sing their song. But anyway, it was a close fight as Say is only ahead by 4 points, if we heard it right from Willie Revillame. We took some photos. We just think it is cool taking photos on TV of the PBB housemates.

*my shots are not that good but I'll do better next time, for sure, sana....

TFC's Pinoy Big Brother

NOTE:
My daughters asked me why I never write anything about PBB as we watched it on The Filipino Channel every night time. I told them that I already mentioned it on my old blog and that I like Say. And since I went back to Blogger, I really got no idea where to post my entry as this site is mostly on Hollywood.

Now, with my husband's consent, I decided to include entries about Philippine entertainment. That is because we also watched Filipino TV programmes on cable.

Housemate to Have a 100-Second Reunion Tonight Friday, November 11, 2005 12:54 PM

Big Brother is giving one housemate a special treat! A housemate will reunite with a loved one inside the confession room! And this special moment will be aired live on Pinoy Big Brother tonight!

Just like the past reunions, the lucky housemate is only limited to 100 seconds to be with his/her loved one, whom h/she misses so much. Previously Jason, Uma and Say already experienced the 100-second reunion treat from Big Brother. Say got the chance to be back in the arms of her boyfriend JB, while Jason got very emotional when he saw his daughter during her birthday. Uma, on the other hand, got so overwhelmed after receiving a phone call from his mother, who’s living in Israel, just last Friday.

Late pala ang news write-up nang PBB. But anyway, we already watched it last night. As we know it was Franzen who got the 100 seconds with his birthday celebrator wife. I observed that this guy was very vocal in saying how he missed his family and yet when given the chance to be with his wife, he was not expressive. Then he cried when his wife already left. Ganun ba talaga mga guys, very shy to express in words and actions their feelings? Hayy, naku!!!

Nap says:

But you could see in his eyes his love for the wife.

Julia Roberts, a Beautiful Woman

JULIA ROBERTS
"Now that she has the babies, she has reached her peak of beauty," says Julia Roberts's friend and makeup artist Genevieve. "She is satisfied and content. All of that shows. It shows through the makeup, through the pictures. Being a mom has changed her whole life." And the 37-year-old actress has adopted a no-fuss approach to beauty. "She likes to dress like a normal housewife or mother," says Genevieve. "She doesn't care at all."

Luchie says:

I am a Julia Roberts fan through and through. She is really a beautiful woman and the movie Pretty Woman defines her. Her acting talent is commendable too. Who can forget the movie The Pelican brief? For me, she was very good in that movie.

Now that she is already married and a mother of twins, she projects a higher level of what it means to be beautiful. Of course her physical assets could not be ignored, but the happiness that exudes in her being a contented wife and mother makes her more beautiful.

And Julia Roberts is indeed a beautiful woman inside and outside.

Brooke's Baby News

BROOKE'S BABY: Brooke Shields is expecting another child, PEOPLE confirmed. The 40-year-old actress and her husband, writer Chris Henchy, will welcome their second child in the spring, according to her rep.

The couple, who wed in 2001, have a 2-year-old daughter, Rowan (whose birth prompted Shields to write a book, Down Came the Rain: My Journey Through Postpartum Depression in which she revealed how anti-depressants helped with her condition).

Just last month, while appearing on The Oprah Winfrey Show Shields revealed that she hoped for another baby. "I've always wanted more than one child," she said.

Luchie says:

I was able to watch that Oprah Winfrey Show episode when Brooke Shields was interviewed by Oprah Winfrey. She was confident enough to defend her views on taking the anti- depressant drug. She defended not only herself but all the other women who were able to cope up from their condition. And for that she gained the respect of many.

I wish her good health and happiness with the coming baby!
